Found the cutest little sunflower growing in my yard today. 🌻 😊
A flower is dormant, lost, and lifeless during a long, cold winter of affliction.
When spring arrives, the sun brings warmth, clouds bring rain, and soon this flower shows signs of life, where dormancy had formerly taken over.
The change of season enables this beautiful flower to flourish, as it was created to do.
I believe there will be seasons in our life where we will endure long, cold winter seasons of affliction, where our soul begins to feel dormant, lost, and lifeless.
As you go through these seasons, please do not lose hope.
You see, sometimes things in our life need to go dormant before they can spring back to life. Sometimes loss has to happen, so new beginnings can take their place. Sometimes winters of affliction are necessary, so we can experience new growth.
If you are in (or ever find yourself in) a wintery season of affliction where dormancy has taken precedence and signs of life are nowhere to be found, take heart.
Spring will come.
