Becoming Strong
“He is strong, like a tree planted by a river. It produces fruit in season. Its leaves don’t die. Everything he does will succeed.” Psalm 1:3 ICB
Wouldn’t it be cool to be two-hundred years old? Oak trees can live that long—or even longer! But every oak starts as a tiny acorn. It’s amazing how something so small can grow so huge.
When the oak is little, storms can knock it around and hungry bugs might nibble its leaves. The baby tree has to be brave. Its leaves stretch up to the sun, and its roots dig deep into the soil. Slowly it grows stronger and taller until it stands like a giant—mighty and strong.
You’re a bit like that small oak. When you face problems, you can ask God for help and talk with people who care about you. With faith and help, you’ll grow strong—just like a powerful, unshakable oak tree.
